This Privacy Policy explains how Misfit Country Dancing ("Misfit," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use misfitcountrydancing.com (the "Site") or attend our classes and events. Please also read our Terms of Use.

Accounts and payments are provided by GNetwork. Your Misfit Country Dancing login is a GNetwork account, and all payments, subscriptions, saved payment methods, and billing are processed through GNetwork. For anything related to your GNetwork account or payments, the GNetwork Privacy Policy (gnetworkclub.com/privacy) apply and control over this page.

1. GNetwork Accounts and Payments

Accounts, sign-in, and payments on this Site are provided by GNetwork. Your account details, password, and payment information are stored and processed by GNetwork, and card payments are handled by its payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number. How GNetwork collects, uses, and protects that information is described in the GNetwork Privacy Policy, which controls for any account or payment-related data.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

Account details: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), date of birth, and password.
Profile picture: if you choose to upload one.
Address and account details you add in your Account area.
Event activity: RSVPs, tickets, memberships, class sign-ups, and orders.
Messages: anything you send us by email or social media.

Information collected automatically

Sign-in cookies that keep you logged in (see Cookies below).
Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, which our hosting provider records in standard server logs.

Information from events

Check-in records, and photos or video taken at events (see our Terms of Use).

3. Age Requirement and Date of Birth

The Services are for adults 18 and older only. We ask for your date of birth at registration to confirm that you meet this requirement, and we may ask to see a photo ID at events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will close the account and delete the information. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us.

4. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and verify your age.
To run classes, events, and competitions, including RSVPs, ticketing, and check-in.
To send you messages about your account, purchases, schedule changes, and cancellations.
To share news about upcoming classes and events, if you have not opted out.
To keep our community and Site safe, enforce our Terms, and comply with the law.
To improve the Site and our Services.

5. What Other Members Can See

When you RSVP or buy a ticket for an event, your first and last name and profile picture may appear on that event's guest list and attendee preview. These are visible only to signed-in members. Event hosts and staff can also see attendee lists for check-in. If you do not want your picture shown, you can leave your profile picture blank.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With GNetwork, which provides our accounts, events platform, and payments, and with its payment processor.
With service providers that help us run the Site, such as hosting.
With event venues and partners, only when needed to run an event (for example, a guest list for entry).
For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of Misfit, our members, or others.
In a business transfer, if Misfit is sold or reorganized.

7. Cookies and Third-Party Content

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in (for example, misfit_auth_token and misfit_user_info). They are removed when you log out, and otherwise expire after 30 days. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not currently use third-party analytics.

Some pages include content from other services, such as the Google Maps image on our Contact page, embedded music players on event pages, and the Stripe card form on the Payment Methods page. When those load, the provider receives your IP address and browser information under its own privacy policy.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account and payment data held by GNetwork is retained under the GNetwork Privacy Policy.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure sign-in cookies, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Update your information: edit your details and profile picture anytime in your Account area.
Marketing: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email, or contact us.
Access or deletion: email us to request a copy of, or the deletion of, the personal information we hold. Requests about your GNetwork account or payment data are handled under the GNetwork Privacy Policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We will honor those requests as required.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, may notify you by email or on the Site.
